  • Ho, ho, ho… By the time October arrives the Christmas decorations & mince pies will be on the shelves in the shops. Christmas will be upon us soon now & I love this time of the year, the orchard fruits being harvested & we start thinking of making Christmas Cakes & watching Christmas movies after consuming too much food.
  • Up to your ears in courgettes ? Tomatoes ripening on every window sill? Beans, beans and more beans? I don’t like wasting food & preserving was a tradition of using up your gluts rather than wasting them.  So bring me your gluts & we’ll make some delicious preserves with them.
  • Ever been inspired to make your own Jam in the past?  However it didn’t quite end up as you hoped? Maybe it was more of a syrup than a jam, or even like toffee? Never fear, join me in my Somerset Kitchen for a full day of learning the basics.  You will learn step by step how to create delicious jam.
  • When life gives you lemons ………….. There is so much you can do with these juicy, sour fruits. I wanted to share some of my favourites with you.  Curd, Old Fashioned Lemonade, Lemon Barley Water, Limoncello & of course Marmalade too.
